Podgorica and Nikšić police seized 20 weapons, 926 ammunition and other items in separate activities in those two cities. Four people were arrested, while a criminal complaint was filed against one.
As announced by the Police Directorate, the officers of the Security Center (CB) Podgorica, undertaking activities aimed at strengthening the control of persons of security interest, searched several locations used by these persons and found and seized: 13 firearms (of which two automatic rifles, five rifles and six pistols), 778 pieces of ammunition of various types and calibers, such as three frames, two springs, eight shutters and two gas cylinders for automatic rifles, cleaning supplies and a mobile phone.
"The aforementioned items were found and seized at the locations used by BL (44), AS (25), NI (57) and IV (25). In the announcement, it is added that the officers of CB Nikšić, in order to find weapons and explosive materials in illegal possession, found and confiscated seven weapons and ammunition at three locations.
"During searches of the locations used by M.Đ. (56), RK (48) and RK (78), all from Nikšić, the officers of CB Nikšić found and confiscated: an Italian-made rifle, three hunting rifles, a revolver, an air rifle of the brand "IŽ 38", hunting carbine and 148 pieces of ammunition of different types and calibers. The competent state prosecutor was informed about the event, who ordered that a criminal report be filed against RK (78) on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials.
