The police arrested S.Đ. (35), while against A.Đ. (26) a misdemeanor charge was filed, after today's searches in Podgorica found seven firearms, a large amount of ammunition, marijuana and other items.
As reported by the Police Administration, four locations used by persons of security interest in the area of the capital were searched.
S.Đ. is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials, while A.Đ. a misdemeanor report was filed due to a misdemeanor committed under the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse.
"The police found and confiscated: two automatic rifles, two semi-automatic rifles, two hunting rifles, a pistol and 723 pieces of ammunition of different types and calibers. In addition, the police confiscated means of communication and a package containing suspected marijuana intended for street sale", the police announced.
The competent prosecutor was informed about the incident.
The found weapons and other items will be sent to the Forensic Center for expert examination.
