The police filed a criminal complaint with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica against Aleksandar Damjanović (50), a citizen of Danilovgrad, on the suspicion that he had beaten fellow citizen Ž. Q. (58).
This was announced to "Vijesta" by the Police Administration, explaining that the case files were forwarded to the prosecution.
"The event in which Ž. P. was attacked and injured and reported to the Danilovgrad Security Department. Officials of OB Danilovgrad shed light on this event. A statement was taken from AD (50) from Danilovgrad and other police measures and actions were implemented in consultation with the prosecutor. The police officers of the OB Danilovgrad submitted a criminal complaint against AD to the state prosecutor in the ODT due to the well-founded suspicion that he had committed a criminal act of violent behavior to the detriment of Ž.P.
The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica emphasized that the case is in the investigation phase.
"The subject is in the reconnaissance phase. In order to protect the interests of the proceedings, we cannot provide more information", said the ODT.
A mentally ill fifty-eight-year-old man was recently beaten in Danilovgrad.
In addition to visible injuries in the head area, the medical documentation also shows that he suffered a concussion, his brother Blagota Pajović told "Vijesta".
He told "Vijesti" yesterday that they did not want media attention from the first day, but that the proceedings should remain exclusively within the competent institutions, but that he was forced to announce himself "in order to prevent the attempts of individuals to impose the role of an attacker instead of a victim on his seriously ill brother and provocateur".
"My brothers have lived in Danilovgrad all their lives. Everyone knows that Ž. seriously ill and no one ever beat him. What happened now is an inhuman act, especially since he was beaten by a man who lives 200 meters away from our house, and who calls him a person and pretends not to know who he is. In addition, he tries to drag the football club 'Iskra', which we all love, into the whole story. This is something we will not allow," Pajović said.
He pointed out that everything that happened, starting with the beating of his brother, and ending with the suspect's public appearances, speaks best of "him as a man."
"Our family forgave him, because God left us to forgive. He has never been, nor will he be, threatened by us, regardless of what he has done, and we wish him and his family all the best. The only thing we ask for is that the man who mutilated the sick neighbor, my brother, be held accountable before the competent authorities in a legal procedure. I know that the public of Danilovgrad is outraged by this inhuman act, because they know the truth, and so does Ž. is a favorite of the citizens of Danilovgrad, regardless of his condition. Nevertheless, I ask my fellow citizens that because of Ž. and our families refrain from insulting Damjanović, if they really do, and that they, like us, wait for the police, the prosecution and the court to do their part", said Pajović.
He said that with this statement he ends the media polemic and that he expects the authorities to be efficient so that the person responsible for the brutal beating of his brother will be held accountable.
"Vijesti" was unable to get in touch with Damjanović.
Recently, in a statement given to "Dan", he said: "As a human being, it hurts me to pretend that I beat a sick man, even though he persecuted me with provocations".
"I am pained by the untruths and I call on the competent authorities to view this case with maximum caution and seriousness. That man who was persuaded to provoke me, according to my knowledge, has a different truth than the one for which I gave a statement to the police. That person lives under a lot of pressure. That he has to strike, as was the case at the beginning "at the coach", but also that there is no way back from that story. I, challenged and insulted, after the conflict live with the halo of a man who beats up sick people and as a negative hero on social networks. I live torn between the offered coaching position and its non-fulfillment due to someone's premeditated game and whim," said the former soccer player and now soccer coach to that daily newspaper.
A turban on his head, bruises under his eyes
Fifty-eight-year-old Z. P. has been blue for days, he has bruises in the area of his head, a turban on his head...
"He has a concussion and should have been resting, but it cannot be explained to him. He is in an extremely bad condition, but I guess he will recover quickly. Everyone in Danilovgrad knows that he never attacked anyone, despite being seriously ill. Also, we all know that he throws things at people, but quite harmlessly. No one needed this and I am in shock that someone could raise a hand against him", said Blagota Pajović.
