The same people who have performed these functions up until now applied for the position of head of the Higher Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, as well as the basic prosecutor's offices in Podgorica, Plav, Ulcinj, Cetinje, Rožaj, Nikšić and Herceg Novi.
This was confirmed to "Vijesta" from the Prosecutor's Council.
Although the Law on the State Prosecutor's Office states that the same person can be elected as the head of the same State Prosecutor's Office a maximum of two times, this did not prevent individual prosecutors, as well as previous judges, from applying for a third term.
Thus, Vesna Jovićević, the former head of the Podgorica Higher Prosecutor's Office, is the only one registered for a new term in that position, as well as her colleague from the Basic Prosecutor's Office - Ljiljana Klikovac.
Only the former head of the prosecution, Erdan Feratović, applied for the position of head of the prosecution in Plav, and in Ulcinj, also the previous head, Feriha Muratović.
The former chief Luka Martinović, Hajran Kalač in Rožaj, and Stevo Šekarić in Nikšić also applied for the position of head of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Cetinje.
Also, only the previous head, Snježana Zejnilagić, was registered as the head of the Herzegnov Prosecutor's Office.
"The public advertisement for the selection of managers of basic state prosecutor's offices in Kotor, Pljevlja and Bar is ongoing, the public will be informed about the selected managers", the Prosecutor's Council added. It was recently announced that no one has applied for the post of Supreme State Prosecutor, and that function will most likely be performed by the former head of that prosecution, Ivica Stanković, as an acting official until his retirement.
