Katnić did not only block Knežević's part of Kamenovo

The abstract land complex of 33 square meters in the hinterland of Kamenovo beach, owned by the Budva company "Rekreaturs", is the only property of the fugitive businessman Duško Knežević, which remained exempt from the blockade of the Special Prosecutor's Office.

For the property of all companies, of which Knežević is the real or "hidden" owner, the High Court in Podgorica, at the request of the investigator led by Milivoje Katnić, passed a temporary measure prohibiting the use and disposal.

The founder of the Budva company that manages a piece of the Budva Riviera, as written in the Central Register of Business Entities, is Atlas banka with 99.7 percent of the founding capital, while 0.28 percent of the founding capital is held by the HTP "Atlas hotelsgroup" from Bar.

The executive director of the company is Vlatko Rašović, the former driver of Duško Knežević, who agreed with the Special Prosecutor's Office to be a cooperating witness in the trial against the businessman.

Knežević's "Jadranski Sajam", "Expo invest" and "Expo Budva", which registered a large fair complex in Budva, were also on the list of companies for which the High Court issued a temporary measure.

The Special Prosecutor's Office opened several investigations, as well as filed an indictment against Knežević and his closest associates. The businessman for whom a red Interpol warrant has been issued has been in London for months, from where they accuse the current political elite of Montenegro, headed by Milo Đukanović, of trying to seize his property, especially that in Budva.

Katnic's team labeled Knežević as the organizer of criminal groups, which caused multimillion-dollar damage to the state budget. Apart from the property at the Adriatic Fair, Knežević is prohibited from managing properties in Zeta (Mojanovići and Mahala), which are registered in his name, as well as apartments in Sveti Stefan and Podgorica.

A ban was placed on the property management of the "Atlas Group" in Podgorica, where they own a plot of land, and the immovable properties of the Budva company "Mogren Hill" - two buildings in Budva, owned by the company "Atlas Hotels Group", which owns a hotel, plots and business premises in the Bar.

The hotel, restaurant, buildings and plots of the company in Sutomore were also blocked. The Bar company is also prohibited from managing two business premises on Sveti Stefan, plots and buildings in Petrovac and Golubovci. Also, part of the property of the bar hotel "Princes", owned by "Atlas Hotels Group", was blocked.

In Budva, two parcels of the company "Mogren Garden" have been blocked. The court also banned the management of the assets of the Podgorica company "Montenegroberza", which owns two business premises in Podgorica, as well as the management of two business premises of the company "CG Broker - Dealer". The management of the business premises in Podgorica, which is owned by the company "Montenegro Holding Investment", was also blocked.

All assets of the company "Atlas invest", which owns numerous apartments, business premises, buildings and plots in Sveti Stefan, Budva, Bečići, Bar, Podgorica and Kolašin, were also blocked. The Podgorica company "Attika Land" was also temporarily prohibited from managing the building and numerous plots in Budva.

The SDT demanded that the property management of the "Meljine" General Hospital in Herceg Novi be banned, as well as the "Montenegro-Express Group" company that manages that institution. That company cannot manage business premises in Podgorica, as well as apartments, business premises, buildings and plots of land in Budva.

Knežević is temporarily prohibited from managing shares or share ("disposal or encumbrance"), which are registered in Montenegrin and offshore companies, in which he is the real or hidden owner.

Kosovars claim that Kamenovo is theirs

For years, the Privatization Agency of Kosovo has been leading a court battle for the return of property on Kamenova, where a Kosovar resort was once located, accusing that 33.000 square meters were illegally taken from them after the war in 1999.

They claim that "Rekreaturs" illegally changed the headquarters of the company from Pristina to Budva, thereby robbing them of valuable property. Rekreaturs is a former trade union company from Pristina that had a resort on Kamenovo and planned to build a similar one in Ulcinj. Under unexplained circumstances, the company was moved to Budva in 1999 during the war, and the Atlas Group bought it for 60 euros in 2002.

The resort has long been out of service, only dilapidated shacks remain, which are unusable, but to date, the construction of a luxury tourist resort worth 90 million euros has not started in this bay, as announced by Knežević's company in planning documents.

Kamenovo is also being claimed by the locals, who also claim that their land was stolen and are demanding restitution. The basic court in Kotor passed a temporary measure 15 years ago.
