"During 2019, on several occasions in Podgorica, before the SDT of Montenegro, they gave false statements as witnesses, which led to the initiation of criminal proceedings and the indictment against Duško Knežević, as a result of which there were serious consequences for the injured party, as and in relation to his property," announced lawyer Zdravko Đukanović.
The Atlas Group adds that "the members of the National Police, whose identity will be determined during the criminal proceedings, by exploiting their official position and exceeding the limits of their authority, illegally pressured Đurđić and Rašović to give false statements in the criminal proceedings against Duško Knežević These actions were carried out by order of the executive power, in order to help SDT and Podgorica to initiate illegal proceedings against Duško Knežević.
"The mentioned persons are under pressure, and due to the lack of any material evidence against Duško Knežević, they made several untrue and arbitrary claims, so that the proceedings would still be conducted, and in order to create a wrong image in the public about the events in which Vlatko Rašović and Đorđe Đurđić participated. The defense will propose that Special State Prosecutor Milivoje Katnić, President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović and Branimir Gvozdenović be heard as witnesses. Duško Knežević's defense will submit an amendment to this criminal report after receiving the remaining relevant information," Đukanović said.
