The hearing of journalist Dražen Živković was postponed to January 22, after he requested an interpreter for the Montenegrin language. After his arrest, he was released this morning to defend himself from the slooda.
Živković told Vijesti that the prosecutor confirmed to him that she had received a request for postponement, but that she issued the order for forced detention earlier.
The journalist and editor of the newspaper Borba was arrested this morning by order of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office, although, as he claimed, he informed the prosecutor the night before that he could not respond to the summons for the hearing today.
The prosecutor issued an order for the police to forcibly bring him.
As he said, the police first searched for Živković at his home address, then they called him, but he informed the police officer that he was on the ground and that he had sent a request to the prosecutor's office to postpone the hearing.
Živković said that he was arrested near the Assembly, while he was reporting to meeting of the Metropolis.
