Budva: An Albanian citizen sent to Spuž held a knife to the throat of a female tourist from Serbia and wounded her

The investigating judge of the Basic Court of Kotor, Špiro Pavićević, sentenced Albanian citizen Arben Zali (30), who last night in Budva, wounded a tourist from Serbia with a knife, while trying to rob her, for up to 29 days.

Zalija was immediately arrested by the Budva police, who today brought him to the Kotor judge with a criminal complaint. Pavićević confirmed to Vijesti that he heard the defendant in the presence of the defense attorney and accepted the proposal of the Kotor prosecutor and ordered him to be detained for up to 30 days. Zali was sent to the Investigation Prison in Spiž today.

Unofficially, we learn that Zali came to Budva 20 days ago, where he worked as a manual laborer. He intercepted a female tourist from Serbia in Mainska put last night around 18 pm and dragged her to the entrance of a nearby residential building. There, he repeatedly kicked and punched her, trying to snatch her bag. She confronted the robber, after which Zali took out a knife and put it under her throat, asking her to give him the bag, when he wounded her in the hand with the knife. Passers-by saw this and a young man jumped and saved the woman, and the police who were called immediately arrived and handcuffed Zalija.

He is charged with attempted robbery. The tourist was not seriously injured.
