Nine people arrested after the riots in Zlatica will defend their freedom

The investigating judge of the Podgorica Basic Court rejected the proposal of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office to order detention for nine persons, arrested after the riots in Zlatica on Saturday evening, "Vijesti" was informed by that authority.

Mina Minic (21), Radun Minic (22), Žarko Marković (47), Ivan Koković (18), Radule Živković (29), Mitar Žugić (29) and Dražen Bulatović (18) from Podgorica will defend their freedom in the continuation of the prosecutor's trial .

They were deprived of their liberty on Saturday evening, and a day later they were ordered to be detained on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of assaulting an official in the performance of official duties and the criminal offense of destroying and damaging someone else's property.

Milivoje Brković (30) and Luka Tapušković (22), who were arrested on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of inciting resistance, will defend themselves from liberty.

"Regarding your e-mail dated January 28.01.2020, 64, I am informing you that in the Criminal Case No. 20/114, a decision was made rejecting the request for custody of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica Criminal Case No. 20/28.01.2020 of January 28.01.2020. 63, according to the suspects Ž.M., M. The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica announced that they will file an appeal against this decision.

"The state prosecutor will file an appeal within the legal deadline against the decision of the judge for the investigation of the Basic Court in Podgorica, which rejected the proposal of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica to order the detention of these persons," the statement of the ODT states.
