This morning, the police searched 17 locations and arrested 16 people.
The Police Directorate also said that during these actions, the police found and temporarily confiscated weapons in illegal possession - a rifle and two pistols, a certain amount of ammunition, means of communication and other things and objects.
"Seized things and items will be the subject of forensic expert examinations," the announcement states.
Among those arrested was Ratka Knežević, the mother of one of the leaders of the Democratic Front (DF), Milan Knežević.
The police searched their family home.
The Police Directorate previously announced that Knežević "interrupted and belittled police officers during the search of the apartment and other premises".

"RK was deprived of his liberty due to the offense committed under Article 11 of the Law on Public Order and Peace and will be brought to the hearing before the competent criminal judge within the legal term. The criminal processing of all brought persons is ongoing, and in cooperation with the competent state authorities, all persons for whom misdemeanor conditions or criminal liability have been acquired will be prosecuted in accordance with the law," the statement of the Police Administration states.
The police announced that during a search of the apartment and other rooms used by Boško Bjelobrković (32), a rifle with an expired weapon license and 32 pieces of ammunition of different calibers were found. A misdemeanor charge was filed against him for committing a misdemeanor under the Weapons Act.

Bjelobrković denied the allegations of the police and submitted to "Vijesta", among other things, photos of the weapons certificate with a validity period until November 2026.


Bjelobrković also submitted a photo of the hunting license for the 2019/20 season. year.

The police announced that during the search of the apartment and other premises used by Momčilo Kukuličić (47), 7,62 mm caliber ammunition was found.
Kukuličić was arrested on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials.
Kukuličić told "Vijesta" that the police found only one bullet of 9 mm caliber with him.

A search of the apartment and other premises used by Mihailo Asanović (28) found a "Zastava" brand pistol with an expired weapon license. A misdemeanor charge was filed against Asanović for committing a misdemeanor under the Weapons Act.
In the statement that Asanović gave to the police, and which "Vijesti" had access to, it is written that he is a member of the DF in Zeta and that he only went to rallies as a citizen. He also claims that he did not attend the protest on December 29, 2019 in Zeta when there were incidents.
The police asked Asanović for DNA, but he did not agree to it.

The police also searched the apartment and other premises used by Boris Maraš (28), during which ammunition was found, and a misdemeanor charge was filed against him for committing a misdemeanor under the Weapons Act.
During a search of the apartment and other premises used by Neđeljko Popović (48), the police found a pistol of the brand "Češka zbrojovka". Popović was arrested on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials.
In addition, the police searched the apartments and other premises used by Stefan Rašović, Mirko Knežević (38), Danilo Maraš (24), Siniša Stijepović (36), Srđan Đuretić (38), Neđeljko Ceklić (31), Goran Knežević (52), Nenad Matanović (31), Boban Popović (21), Branko Skrobanović (18) and Denis Matović (29).
"The police have information that these persons participated in organizing and carrying out attacks on police officers in Golubovci on December 29, 2019, as well as blocking roads by burning tires and felling trees. Checks and criminal investigation are underway, as well as operational - investigative actions to collect evidence," the police administration announced.
On the occasion of the arrest of Ratka Knežević, the Institution of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms announced that, based on information from the media, as well as on the basis of an initiative sent by e-mail, an ex officio proceeding will be initiated and the method of deprivation of liberty will be investigated.
They remind that the Protector does not have the legal authority to review court decisions, but "in addition to the way of deprivation of liberty, he will also examine the actions of police officers in the context of preserving the dignity of the citizen, in accordance with international standards."
The Council for Citizen Control of Police Work was informed that "a citizen of the Republic of Croatia, the mother of MP Milan Knežević, was detained for alleged inappropriate behavior towards police officers".
As they said, the Council will check the behavior of the police towards all citizens, and as certain police activities are still ongoing, a detailed statement was requested from the Police Administration.
"In connection with the allegations related to the citizen of the Republic of Croatia, the Council requested that the Director of the Police Administration order a check on whether the police authorities were exceeded in relation to her," the Council said, in which, as they said, after consideration of possible objections from citizens, they will issue a final assessment of the actions of the police.
As they point out, the council formed a special case in this particular case and is acting on the initiative of Dr. Vladimir Dobričanin.
"The Council was also contacted by the family regarding the police's treatment of the children during the search of the Knežević family home. The Council sent its member Dr. Vladimir Dobričanin to the Emergency Center to visit the girls and discuss with the family representatives the objections to the police's treatment," said the Council.
The DF MP previously confirmed to "Vijesti" the information about the arrest of his mother.
He said that he was in Belgrade and was just returning to Montenegro.
The portal IN4S announced that the police also arrested Knežević's uncle - Goran Knežević.
In the published videos of Knežević's house, it can be seen that all things were searched and that the police left a mess behind.
"As the biggest criminal, they took her away," can be heard on the recording.
Knežević's mother is a retired teacher.
