The killer of Roganović fired five shots with a cap on his head

The killer fired three bullets into Šćepan Roganović's back, and then two more, while Novljan was lying on the stairs leading from the Kanli Tower to the city.

This is what an interlocutor close to the investigation into the murder of thirty-six-year-old Roganović told "Vijesta".

The same source claims that the killer "jogged up the stairs with a cap on his head" and waited.

"When Roganović started to go down the stairs, he noticed him, accelerated his pace, and fired three shots at him. When he fell, he approached him and fired two more shots, and then fled on a scooter", claims the interlocutor of "Vijesti".

Inspectors reportedly believe that an accomplice was waiting for the killer above the staircase.

By checking the communication recorded by the base stations, they are trying to determine whether someone notified the killer when Roganović left the house.

The interlocutors from the police also said that by reviewing the recordings taken from the surveillance cameras, they determine the movements of the killer before and after the crime.

Roganović was killed on February 13 around 9 a.m. in Herceg Novi.

The Police Department announced that they are intensively working to solve the murder.

Not long after the murder, inspectors found a burning motorcycle suspected to have been used in the murder in the Sasovići neighborhood.

A gun believed to have been used was also found.

On the same day, dozens of people close to the Skaljar criminal clan were questioned, but no one was detained.

The Police Administration, however, did not specify whether the killing of Roganović was a continuation of the clan war, during which 37 people were killed, including accidental victims. Although he is labeled as a member of the Kavac criminal clan in the public, those familiar with the security situation claim that Roganović did not take care of his safety, because he did not feel threatened.

He is the third victim from the Roganović family since the beginning of the Montenegrin clan conflict.

His father, Niko (66), was killed on the night of July 26, 2017, in the Dubrava settlement in Novi. The police did not discover the two attackers who waited for him a hundred meters from the house where he lived and fired several shots at him.

Three months before the murder of Niko Roganović, his younger son and brother of the murdered Šćepan - Duško - was seriously wounded. He lost both of his legs in a suicide bombing on April 26, 2017. That attack was never brought to light either.

The brother of the Roganović brothers' uncle, Vladimir Roganović (31), was killed on December 21, 2018 in Vienna.
