Dragiša Bulatović from Podgorica was arrested on suspicion of having participated in the attempted murder of Igor Krstović, it was confirmed to "Vijesta" unofficially from several sources.
Bulatović was remanded in custody after being suspected of attempted murder by aiding and abetting.
His defense attorney, lawyer Marko Kovač, confirmed this to "Vijesta".
"Due to the secrecy of the proceedings, I am not able to say anything else," Kovač said.
When ordering custody, the judge referred to an article of the Criminal Code that states that there are circumstances that indicate that he will repeat the criminal offense or complete the attempted criminal offense, i.e. due to the smooth conduct of the proceedings...
According to "Vijesti" information, investigators allegedly found Bulatović's fingerprints on a bottle containing gasoline used to light the car the attackers used to escape from the scene of the crime.
The Police Administration and the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) did not respond to questions about Bulatović's arrest.
From the Higher State Prosecutor's Office, the journalist was told that they forwarded the case to colleagues from the SDT.
I am informing you that the case that was formed in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, regarding the criminal offense - attempted murder, to the detriment of IC, has been submitted for processing to the Special State Prosecutor's Office of Montenegro", the Higher State Prosecutor's Office informed the News.
The day after the shooting in Zeta, "Vijesta" was unofficially told that those who set fire to the car used in the attack on Krstović made numerous mistakes and left clues that could help investigators shed light on the case.
"Those who set fire to the car made mistakes... they left some traces and we hope that they will be useful to us, if the rain and the firemen extinguishing the fire did not destroy them before the recovery... The answer to that, however, will be given by the forensic experts after the expert examinations that have been started are finished", said one of the interlocutors of "Vijesti" earlier.
26 shots from an automatic rifle were fired into Krstović's car, and according to unofficial information - seven ended up in his body.
After the shooting, he underwent surgery at the Clinical Center.
An hour after the thirty-five-year-old was hit by bullets from a firearm, investigators found a burning "golf" on Kakaricka mountain, which, they said, they assume was used in the attack...
According to unofficial information, an automatic rifle "M70" was also found, from which Krstović was shot.
He was wounded in the Zeta settlement of Balijače, while he was approaching the family house in a Mercedes jeep.
After the attack on Krstović, Vijesti was unofficially told that police inspectors are looking for a jeep 'nissan x trail', due to the assumption that there were people in it who helped the attackers by shooting at the thirty-five-year-old from the 'golf'...
On the way home, Krstović had to slow down his car because of a railroad crossing, which the attackers took advantage of and opened fire...
