A member of the MB criminal organization, as is reasonably suspected, is the direct perpetrator of the murder of Novljan Šćepan Roganović, and the motive for that crime was revenge, it was announced at a joint conference of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) and the Police Directorate.
The chief special state prosecutor, Milivoje Katnić, said that Roganović, who was killed on February 13 this year in Herceg Novi, was not considered a person of security interest.
Special prosecutor Veljko Rutović said that it is well-founded to suspect that the members of the criminal organization MB, VK and Đ.M as co-perpetrators killed Roganović out of wanton revenge.
Rutović explained that the defendant MB directly participated in the murder, and that VK and Đ.M. significantly contributed to the commission of the crime.
"MB, the immediate perpetrator of the crime, waited for Roganović to appear, approached him and fired at least nine projectiles from his pistol, as a result of which Roganović sustained fatal injuries on the spot," said Rutović.
He said that after that, MB moved away from the scene in the direction of Prva Bokeljška brigade Street, where the accused VK was waiting for him on a motorcycle, after which both men moved away to Sasovići in Herceg Novi, where they lit the motorcycle and the gun.
As explained by Rutović, Đ.M. helped in the escape of the organizer of the criminal organization VK and a member of the criminal organization MB
"He transported them by sea from Zelenika to Morinje, and then MB transported the immediate perpetrator of the criminal act from Morinje to Grahov, where unknown persons were waiting for him in order to hide and illegally cross the border of Montenegro," Rutović said.
