More than ten mobile phones, among which there were allegedly encrypted ones, were found by the officers of the Investigation Prison in the bags of cedevita ordered by detainees from three cells.
"Mobile phones were found in the canteen, in bags packed for detained persons. After checking the canteen, it was found that they were packed in plastic bags. It is known which detained persons ordered the cell phone in which someone packed the phones, and the investigation will determine who packed them there", said the interlocutor of Vijesti from the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions (UIKS).
He did not explain whether and how the mobile phones passed the main application form and ended up in the prison store, that is, whether they were possibly transferred over the fence...
In that store, orders for detainees are packed by convicts who are serving their sentences in the Semi-Open Ward.
UIKS officers are in charge of checking whether the convict or detainee will receive all the items ordered and paid for.
According to the unofficial information of Vijesti, the head of the Investigation Prison, Dejan Bauković, and the prison policemen, after finding the mobile phones, searched the rooms where the three detainees were kept, for whom the bags were intended.
No illegal items were found during the search.
The interlocutor from UIKS unofficially explained that as a precaution, they did not open the bags in which they discovered the mobile phones, so as not to destroy the prints.
"The police were informed about the incident. According to the prosecutor's order, they are taking measures to determine how the mobile phones got to the prison canteen, who packed them in Cedevita packages, who they were intended for," said the interlocutor of "Vijesti".
The Police Directorate unofficially said that, following a notification from the Investigation Prison, they found 11 mobile phones in bags intended for detainees.
"According to the order of the prosecutor, we are collecting notifications from detained persons to whom the phones were intended, convicts who worked in the canteen and officials. Other measures and actions are being taken," said the UP.
