The Podgorica Basic State Prosecutor's Office has brought to an end the case in which they are investigating whether the detained building inspector Vladan Juretić was abused in a prison cell or, as he claims, he was having fun with his roommates to pass the time, "Vijesti" has learned unofficially.
According to this information, the decision will be made in the next few days.
From ODT Podgorica, however, they officially announced only that "the case is still in the investigation phase".
That prosecution formed the case ex officio, on the same day that "Vijesti" published the text about the alleged abuse. Juretić claimed to the officials of the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions (UIKS), as well as to the representative of the office of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms, that no one was abusing him.
He wrote the same in the letter sent to "Vijesta".
Despite this, the leaders of UIKS announced that they had determined who was recording the accused for accepting bribes, but also who are the detainees whose voices can be heard on the recording.
They previously announced that they had operational, but unconfirmed information - that the detainees were treating Juretic badly.
"Vijesti" has two videos in its possession, on which it can be seen how the detainees make that inspector do the "grape picking" exercises or order him tied up not to fall, while a wooden bat is attached to his body with a canvas, on which is at the top something that resembles an apple.
The editorial office of "Vijesti" submitted the recordings to the UIKS, after which the administration announced that they had collected operational information, taken statements from all detainees from the room where Juretić was staying and then proceeded to a detailed analysis of the "collected material evidence".
After "Vijesti" published an article about the alleged torture of Juretic, that detainee was moved to a single room, but repeatedly, in writing, he asked UIKS to return him to the same room.
After a few days, Juretić addressed "Vijesti" in a letter claiming that all that can be seen in the videos is "training and our fun":
"Where in the 20 square meters of space are the eight of us looking for a way to 'spend' time." There was no abuse and torture." Juretić and his colleague Zoran Bošković were arrested on November 1, 2019, the day after an exclusive recording of a conversation between them and investor Boško Nenezić was broadcast on Television Vijesti, during which the businessman in a restaurant allegedly handed over 5.000 euros to a MORT employee (Bošković ) in order to allow him to continue construction on the building despite the expired permit.
The day after the broadcast of the video, the Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism Pavle Radulović resigned.
The indictment against them and Nenezić was filed by the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor, the construction inspectors are accused of receiving bribes, and the businessman is charged with giving bribes...
At the end of January, the Basic Court in Kotor confirmed the indictment.
