Vladan Marsenić from Beran, suspected of the attempted murder of Almir Adilović (40), from Bjelopolje, was released to defend himself, after he was heard by the investigating judge of the Bjelopolje High Court, Vanja Rakonjac.
Marsenić was issued a measure prohibiting him from moving away from his place of residence as well as from leaving Montenegro.
"Given that no proposal for detention was received from the High Prosecutor's Office and that the proceedings are still in the investigation phase, the decision was made to confiscate Maresenić's passport. This measure was imposed due to the possibility of escape. In this way, he is prohibited from moving outside his place of residence and impossible to leave Montenegro," said judge Rakonjac.
Marsenić is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of attempted murder in connection with illegal possession of weapons and explosive devices.
During the investigation, Marsenić denied the crime he was accused of.
He did not admit to the crime he was charged with.
"He claimed that on the critical occasion he was not at the place where it was carried out. This was also confirmed during Marsenić's confrontation with the person who was allegedly shot, who said that my client was not the person who shot him. This was confirmed by several witnesses, so I expect the prosecution to drop this case," said lawyer Drago Konatar.
It is suspected that on April 10, 2020, around 17:40 p.m., after a traffic accident, Marsenić fired a projectile from a firearm in the direction of Almir Adilović (XNUMX) from Bijelo Polje, who suffered a slight injury in the head area.
