The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica filed an indictment against XNUMX-year-old Luka Vojvodić, suspected of breaking the monument in Ravni Laz.
This was announced to Vijesta by the spokeswoman for ODT, prosecutor Milica Mandić.
"Due to the violation of the monument at Ravni laz in Piperi, the state prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica submitted an indictment to the Basic Court in Podgorica with a proposal to order custody against LV due to the well-founded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of injury and illegal erection of monuments," she said. is Mandic.
Milovan Pavićević, head of the Podgorica Security Center, said that due to the importance of the topic, he is obliged to announce that the desecration of the monument on Ravni Laz has disturbed the entire Montenegrin public.
He said that the monument was not accidentally demolished at this moment and repeated that Vojvidić was already known to the police and other security services.
He claims that the police reacted very quickly, identified the perpetrator and prosecuted him, and that Vojvodić had no objections to the work of the police officers.
"I can interpret the comments in the media as an afterthought and I will not comment on them," he said.
Prosecutor Miroslav Turković announced that the judge for the investigation, and not the prosecutor, decided that Vojvodić should defend himself at liberty.
He pointed out that, along with the indictment proposal, they also submitted a proposal for detention.
Turković said that it is interesting to speculate that the suspect for the demolition of the monument is being abused by the police.
"Not a single word did he make known any information about abuse, nor were there any other indications that he was abused," he said.
He added that Vojvodic made the statement voluntarily.
