With the quick intervention of members of the Tivat Protection and Rescue Service, the fire that broke out around 9.40:XNUMX a.m. at the construction site of a large residential building in the Tivat neighborhood of Donja Lastva, across the street from the Post Office, was extinguished.
At the construction site of the Turkish investors' building, a large amount of construction waste (styrofoam, plastic, boards and nylon) caught fire in the yard, right next to the facade of the almost completed three-story building.
The fire, which came from occasional smaller explosions from empty spray paint bottles in a pile of burning debris, threatened to engulf the new building.
However, this was prevented by the quick intervention of the Tivat firefighters who came to the scene with three fire engines.
They put out the fire in a few minutes and prevented major damage to the newer residential building, as well as to the nearby building of a flower shop.
It is assumed that the cause of the fire was the carelessness of workers at the construction site.
