Closing remarks at the trial for the murder of police officer Kujović - July 16

The final words of the trial of Enis Memić from Brodarevo, accused of killing police officer Irfan Kujović with his car, on the regional road Slijepač most-Tomaševo, are scheduled for July 16.

This was announced today in the High Court in Bijelo Polje, before which Enis Memic is being held accountable for the serious murder of police officer Kujović on July 22, 2015.

During the hearing, the remaining written evidence was presented, and the closing arguments were postponed after the defendant's lawyer Kasim Dizdarević requested that the closing arguments be recorded with audio technology, due to the very importance of the court proceedings, but also so that the lay public would be informed in addition to experts.

The indictment accuses Memic of driving a white "Golf 2" vehicle through Tomaševo and killing policeman Kujović, and then fleeing the scene.

Memic claimed during the trial that he did not even drive through Tomaševo, but that he returned from Podgorica, in the company of his brother, through the border checkpoint in Dobrakovo, which he passed on foot.
