Institutions of the system to act according to the order of the state prosecutor in the case of the attempted murder of Šćepanović

The non-governmental organization First Association of Parents of Children and Youth with Disabilities announced the occasion arrest of Boban Pobra Laković (36) from Podgorica, who is suspected of having tried to kill fellow citizens Dušan Šćepanović and Filip Šćepanović.

"On this occasion, we would like to inform the public about the event that took place on July 22.07.2020, XNUMX, in front of the Šćepanović family house in their yard, which resulted in the serious injury of our long-time member of the association, Filip Šćepanović, diagnosed with Down's syndrome, a disabled person," he says. in the announcement.

As they explain, "after a verbal argument with Duško Šćepanović (father of Filip Šćepanović), our long-term member and one of the founders of the association, parent of a young disabled person diagnosed with Down's syndrome, he deliberately hit a car in the yard of the family house of Šćepanović, Duško and Filipa. Filip Šćepanović, a person with a disability, suffered the worst during this heinous and beastly act, who did not participate in the verbal discussion, nor did he influence the sequence of events in any way, except that he was in his yard and observed the whole event."

They add that Philip suffered serious injuries with an open fracture of his left femur, a broken pelvis on both sides and severe trauma to his entire body. "And let's not talk about the mental state of the person with a disability and his family, especially the mother who is accompanying Filipova in the Risa hospital ward," the association points out.

They appealed to the institutions of the MUP system, judicial authorities and the Higher State Prosecutor's Office to persevere and act according to the order of the state prosecutor in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office, who has already characterized this criminal offense as aggravated attempted murder.

"Especially, when it comes to people with disabilities, who unfortunately are less and less protected when it comes to exercising their rights," they conclude in the announcement.
