The appeal of lawyer Josif Mićković, in which he asked the judge of the Basic Court in Pljevlje to cancel the detention of his clients Đol (46) and Slavko Kljajević (49), who were arrested yesterday for illegal possession of weapons, was rejected. "As I expected, the appeal was rejected. Judge Branko Pejović decided on it," said lawyer Mićković.
Yesterday, after Nataša Bajčeta, the prosecutor on duty at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Pljevlja, ordered the Kljajević brothers to be detained for up to 72 hours, he said that he was not optimistic that the judge would accept the appeal.
"I have no doubt that it will be rejected, because appeals have been decided according to a template since 1941. In my opinion, there are no grounds for determining detention. The prosecutor refers to the circumstances that the suspect will interfere with the proceedings by influencing the accomplices. Which accomplices "There are none, nor is there any indication that there are accomplices. In addition, one of the grounds for justifying the decision is the danger of repeating the criminal act, which is also absurd," he said.
Kljajevića were arrested yesterday after the police confiscated weapons, explosives and ammunition from them.
The Police Administration, headed by Veselin Veljović, announced last night that they were arrested on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials.
Their defense attorney, however, claims that the police created a circus the day before the elections - with a "spectacular" action during which they removed a trophy weapon that had been there for years from the wall of their restaurant.
He claims that it was a directed manhunt, with which they tried to present the Kljajevics to terrorists and coup plotters.
He said that the police searched Kljajević's premises yesterday due to the alleged knowledge that they had weapons and that they were planning a rebellion:
"That weapon has been hanging on the wall of the restaurant for years. No one was ever interested in him, nor did they find it necessary to check the weapons, possibly confiscate them, but they did it yesterday, the day before the elections, when they decided to make a circus. Obviously, all of this was designed to find, that is, to invent an enemy. It is a directed chase, in order to create the impression in the public that a rebellion against the regime was being prepared. Their 'spectacular' action under masks was seen by a large number of tourists yesterday, who were terrified, because they did not know what was happening."
