The police in Bar and Ulcinj conducted the "Spider" operation and arrested eight people for drug abuse.

"Officials of the Bar Security Center and the Ulcinj Security Department, in cooperation with the officers of the Special Police Sector and the Border Police Sector with a police dog for the detection of narcotic drugs, today, by order of the state prosecutor in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, implemented a multi-month operation codenamed "Spider" which was aimed at detecting, preventing and suppressing the so-called street sale of narcotic drugs", announced the Police Administration.

They explained that the police searched apartments at nine locations in Bar and Ulcinj and submitted criminal charges to the competent state prosecutor in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica against eight people who were arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotics. drugs.

"During the search of the apartment used by ZL in Bar, a PVC package containing the narcotic drug marijuana with a total weight of about 108 grams was found," the announcement states.

They add that a search of ER's apartment in the same city found a PVC package containing the narcotic drug marijuana, as well as loose dried plant matter, which is also suspected to be the same narcotic drug with a total weight of about 47 grams, which ER rejected when he saw the police officers .

"A certain amount of the narcotic drug hashish was found during the search of MM's apartment. Criminal charges were filed against ZL (33), PL (30), SI (25), MM (26), AB (41), DP (25), ER (25). and MS (26)," the statement added.

As they said, during the implementation of the "Spider" operation, a total of 37 persons were prosecuted, eight criminal charges were filed against 12 persons due to the well-founded suspicion that they had committed the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs, while it is a misdemeanor under the Law on 25 persons were prosecuted for preventing the abuse of narcotic drugs.

"In this case, the police confiscated narcotic drugs in 33 cases in the area of ​​Bar and Ulcinj, when about 6 kilograms of the narcotic drug marijuana, a smaller amount of the narcotic drug cocaine, the narcotic drug amphetamine and the narcotic drug hashish were seized," the statement says.

They said that the implementation of the action "Spider" and the prosecution of 37 persons by the competent judicial authorities, due to the street sale of narcotic drugs or possession of narcotic drugs, represents another confirmation of the continuous and high-quality activities that the officers of the Bar Security Center, with concrete results, carry out in the field of suppression street sales of narcotics.
