The police did not interrogate Jovan Vukotić from Kotor after Petar Mujović from Nikšić was arrested and after he allegedly admitted to the inspectors that he planned the liquidation of the alleged leader of the Skaljar criminal clan.
Although Vijesti was told by the police that they had prevented the murder of Vukotić, he was not informed about it, as he claims, by anyone in charge.
Vukotić's legal team told "Vijesta" that it is also symptomatic that Mujović was waiting for their client in front of the Kotor police, where he was actually deprived of his liberty. They added that they were also suspicious that this man from Nikšić, despite his confession, was not accused of preparing the liquidation, but only of illegal possession of weapons:
"The police must know who was driving it that day, for that it is enough for them to review surveillance camera footage from the location where the patrol stopped us. If they had done that, we would have easily found out who is with him in that organization," said the legal team of Kotoranin.
Mujović was disarmed and arrested recently in front of the Kotor police, where Vukotić was at the time.
After the arrest of Mujović, the top of the Police Administration informed female journalists that the liquidation of the alleged leader of the Skaljar criminal clan had been prevented in Kotor. Despite this, the police officially announced that the arrested person was charged "only" with illegal possession of a weapon.
Citing sources from the investigation, Television Vijesti announced that Mujović admitted that he accepted to liquidate Kotoranin for half a million euros.
The police found an encrypted phone with him, which contained the nicknames of the people who had ordered Vukotić's murder.
The identity of those persons has not been disclosed.
Officially, they said that he was arrested near the official parking area of the Kotor Security Department, after the inspectors noticed that he was watching the building and the parking area.
"This person was legitimized and examined by police officers, during which they found a pistol 'Czech zbromovka CZP - 07' in illegal possession with the striker in the rear position, ready for use. The gun has a milled factory number with a frame in which there were 14 rounds of ammunition, as well as one round of ammunition in the gun barrel itself. Also, a mobile phone with crypto protection was found", they explained.
The brother of Radovan Mujović was arrested, and both are allegedly members of the Nikšić branch of the Kavačac criminal clan.
Although he admitted to the inspectors that he was armed and waiting to kill Vukotić, in the prosecution he defended himself by remaining silent, and in front of the judge he said that he carried the gun for his own safety.
According to the knowledge of "Vijesti", Mujović has been following people with whom Vukotić is close for days...
A few days before he stalked Vukotić last Wednesday, he used the same car from Kotor to Čevo to stalk the friends of that Kotor resident, who used his cars.
"Vijesti" previously announced that Vukotić found out what was happening in front of the building in the police premises.
Allegedly, while sitting inside, he saw one of the policemen bring in a 'Czech zbrojevka'...
On October 21, Petar Mujović from Nikšić was arrested. Directly after that, it was unofficially announced from the Police Administration that the liquidation of Vukotić was prevented. However, after he was arrested, he was charged "only" with having committed a criminal offense - illegal possession of a weapon
After the Nikšićan's arrest, Vukotić told "Vijesti" that he would no longer leave his life in anyone's hands.
"I have left the house twice since I was released and both times the police want to arrest me, before that they search my cars, they keep me on the street like a clay pigeon. From now on, if anything happens to me, my family and friends will hold the police directly responsible," said the Kotor resident.
Vukotić was recently released from the Investigation Prison, in which he was charged with the attempted murder of Vojin Stupar and Miloš Radonjić. He was acquitted of those charges. Petar Mujović was arrested for drug smuggling, and his brother Radovan was also arrested in the same operation.
