Podgorica police arrested M. Beljkaš, on suspicion of having participated in the traffic accident in which Ivica Božović (41) was killed.

Last Thursday at 19:15 on Stanko Dragojević Boulevard in Podgorica, Božović was hit by a driver as a pedestrian, who fled the scene.

He suffered serious injuries in the accident, and doctors' attempts to save him were in vain.

The spokeswoman of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, Milica Mandić, told "Vijesta" that Bekljaš was not arrested.

"He has already responded to the invitation of this prosecutor's office to be heard in a certain capacity in order to shed light on this event and reveal the perpetrator," Mandic said.

She added that MB responded to the summons of the state prosecutor and gave a statement before him.
