Police Administration: Mandic told untruths, no one in the police wanted to cover up the action

The president of the New Serbian Democracy (NSD) Andrija Mandić told untruths about the alleged cover-up of the seizure of cigarettes, the Police Directorate announced today.

Mandić announced earlier today that the police intercepted a truck with smuggled cigarettes yesterday in Dapsići, but the public was not informed, so, he says, the action could be covered up.

The Police Administration said that Mandić is in the part that refers to police action in Berane, presented falsehoods with the aim of deceiving the public.

"The activity was carried out yesterday in compliance with all the procedures established by law, and the responsible state prosecutor was immediately informed of everything. No one in the police wanted to cover up the action because it is not in the spirit of police work, it has never been so that an allegedly spectacular address loses its meaning in arguments and facts. Management As before, the police will transparently inform the public about the activities it carries out in the interest of the public and all citizens of Montenegro," the Police Administration said in a statement.
