The beginning of the trial of Goran Brajović from Podgorica, and Colombians Costan Casa Jose Aleksandar (43) and Caicedo Bandoya Juan David (29), on suspicion of being members of a criminal organization that operated at the international level, and was formed with the aim of committing an unspecified number of serious crimes against life and body, was postponed today in the High Court in Podgorica to January 14 due to the illness of a panel member.
In August of this year, police officers of the Sector for the Fight against Organized Crime and Corruption arrested Brajović and the citizens of Colombia.
"As it is reasonably suspected, the suspects are members of a criminal organization that operated at the international level, and which was formed with the aim of committing an unspecified number of serious crimes against life and limb. The criminal investigation so far indicates that the mentioned persons in the territory of Montenegro, activities aimed at the commission of a serious criminal offense against life and limb, and due to the timely actions of the officers of the Police Directorate and the deprivation of liberty of the suspects, the execution of the planned criminal offense was prevented," the Police Directorate said at the time.
