Dismissed report against Đikanović: The former editor of FOS did not cause panic with her text

The former chief and responsible editor of the Fos portal, Anđela Đikanović, did not cause panic and disorder in the public at the beginning of last year by publishing the article "Members of ROSU are available in Montenegro for Christmas Day?".

This was decided by the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, which rejected the report of the Police Administration filed on January 5 last year against Đikanović.

"Because there is no well-founded suspicion that Anđela Đikanović committed the reported criminal offense, nor any other criminal offense for which she is being prosecuted ex officio," reads the document of ODT Podgorica, signed by prosecutor Ana Kalezić.

Her defender, lawyer Miloš Vuksanović, told Vijesti that the only possible decision was finally made:

"And that is the rejection of the report against Anđela Đikanović, which the defense pointed out from the very beginning of this procedure, even though the rejection of the report is only a small satisfaction for the journalist who, for the sake of a newspaper article, suffered terrible and completely groundless terror from the competent institutions of the system." he said.

Due to the published text, Đikanović was arrested and in police custody.

She was arrested after the government at the time called on the Prosecutor's Office to act urgently because, they claimed, "that information aims to disturb the public and cause riots".

The arrest and detention of journalist Đikanović was condemned by numerous journalistic associations, including the Media Association of Southeast Europe (MAJE).
