Jovan Mirković, the former driver of the alleged leader of the Kavaka clan, Slobodan Kašćelan, connected the Kosovar Bajram Pista with that organized criminal group which, as he claims, asked him to liquidate Budvane Marko Ljubiša Kan, Goran Slovinić Bral, journalist Olivera Lakić...
This is what Pista, a protected witness of the Special State Prosecutor's Office, told during the hearing before special prosecutor Nataša Bošković.
Pista was arrested on April 29, 2019, when it was disclosed that he had come to Budva with the intention of liquidating a Budva resident who is considered a security person of interest.
At the time, he claimed that he did not want to kill anyone, but to buy a weapon. In the middle of last year, he decided to allegedly confess everything to the investigators.
"Now I'm going to end your lives," Pista explains what he said when Goran Rakočević told him in prison in mid-May 2020 that he was "beaten up".
In front of the special prosecutor at the end of October last year, he also claimed that members of the Kavac clan in the Spuška prison told him which murders, attempts and planting explosives they were responsible for, but also that they planned the murder of Ivan Vukotić from Cetinje, Biljana Mančić from Belgrade, and unsuccessfully organized the escape of Mario Milošević. from the Kosovo prison, set fire to Ranko Radulović's cottage, killed a man in prison, wounded Dragan Roganović, to have the support of the Roganović (Duška) family.
He also explained how the prisoners in prison celebrated the attempted murder of Kan and Slovinić, the planting of explosives on the vehicle of Miloš Mančić's wife.
Allegedly, a close relative of Kotoran Jovan and Igor Vukotić - Ivan, was to be killed by the same team suspected of the liquidation of Bogdan Milić, and Radovan Mujović asked Pista to slaughter Mančićeva, in order to harm her husband Miloš, because he testified against the group of that Nikšić resident .
The Kosovar claims that the man from Nikšić explained to him that Mančić was the weakest link of their previous associate and that is why he was looking for her head.
For the murder of Olivera Lakić, he claims, they offered him 200.000 euros, because "she saw a notebook".
Pista told how he met Mirković in Kosovo at the end of August 2016 - that he was connected to him by an Albanian in Kosovo, for whom he transported drugs.
"I live in Orahovac in Kosovo. Many years ago, I was involved in the illegal trade and resale of marijuana, connecting drivers and suppliers, and I was also involved in transporting stolen cars, mostly from Serbia to Albania. During that job, I met a certain Albanian for whom I worked in the marijuana trade, with whom I cooperated well. He once asked me if I could transport a man from Gračanica to Štrpce. I didn't know who it was. This happened at the end of August 2016, because then I bought a Fiat car with which I went to Gracanica to pick up that man. In front of me, my friends, two Albanians, were driving the 'trade wind'. We arrived in Gračanica, Mirković, whose name I learned only later, was staying in a motel. He told me that he would give me 2.000 euros to transport him to Štrpce. He introduced himself as a journalist and had a plastic identification card on him... I let him know that I don't believe his story," Pista told the prosecutor.
He explained that Mirković gave him 2.000 euros to connect him and an acquaintance to Štrpce. Allegedly, Mirković admitted to him during the drive that he and the Albanian were doing marijuana...
"When he got into the car he introduced himself as 'Yorki' and while driving he asked me - 'do you know who you are driving', and I answered him - 'do you know who is driving you'." He told me - 'I like guys like you, you're a good character' and asked me to give him my personal phone number, which I did. After two days, someone called me from an unknown number and asked if I could come to the cafe. When asked who he was, that someone answered that he was the one who asked me if I knew who I was driving. I'm going to Štrpce, to a cafe... Then he told me - 'brother, I'm Jovan Mirković', and I answered him - 'I'm Bajram Pista'. There he asked me if I could provide him with a chauffeur on the route from Albania to Merdar for transporting drugs, and I said that I could. At that moment when I met him, I had no idea that there was a so-called encrypted phones, nor what they mean, but I repeatedly worked out 'combinations' with Mirković regarding the transportation of drugs for mutual satisfaction, and especially in monitoring tankers with drugs for the passage to Merdare... He always regularly paid the price of my services", he said. is the Runway.
The protected witness also said that Mirković called him after seven or eight months, asking to see each other again in Štrpci.
He also said that at that time he was in financial problems.
Rage for killing Khan
"We entered the cafe where there is no video surveillance. Then he asked me - would I like to earn a lot of money in a short time. I replied - 'who wouldn't like that'. He asked me - 'would you give him anger'. I tell him - 'I'm Albanian, you're Serbian, how can we get angry'? He tells me that he has famous people in Budva and after that he took out a gun from his purse, which scared me a little. Seeing this, Jovan tells me that we will give each other anger in a slightly different way. He takes out two bullets from the pistol magazine and says to me - 'one is for you, one is for me. Whoever betrays whom, you will me, I will you'. That way, he and I made each other angry," Pista said.
He claims that after that they did several more drug transports, and then met on the terrace of a bar, where he met Aco Stevanović. Mirković allegedly then suggested to Pista to take Ac to Montenegro, where some people would be waiting for him.
"I asked him - 'should a serious crime be committed', to which he told me that it was a different story, and that I would see it when I got there, but he also added that 'I don't have to accept, but that I can make a lot of money with it'. I saw Aca then for the first time, later I found out that he worked for TMK, which are the regular formations of Kosovo. We agreed to go together. This is happening in the summer of 2018. My father connected us, and we entered Montenegro at the Božaj crossing. At the time, I did not know that Aco and Nikola Drecun, whom I met later, were already corresponding in the crypts, my goal was to make good money and finish the job," said Pista.
He said that they stopped and entered a restaurant on the road between Podgorica and Cetinje, which is all in stone, to wait for a man.
"The guy who approached us at the table was shaking, I asked him what was wrong with him, he said that he was using white and that it raised him. I find out that it is Nikola Drecun. We leave the restaurant and outside I saw a 'Mercedes' B class, at the wheel of which was a woman, who introduced herself as Marina. Back in Kosovo, Mirković told me that the little one who will wait for us is stable... However, I then ask why Drecun is shaking. He said that he had a problem with the apartment in Budva and that it was not prepared, and that they had a house in Obzovica. He gave us a rental car, rented in the name of Marina, with which we will do the work. Then Aco Stevanović told me that he was using a crypt, which Mirković had bought for him, and which the police would take away from me later in 2019 in Budva. Aco then told me that we had to drive Nikola Drecuna, so that he would commit a murder in Budva. In the car brought by Marina, Nikola, Aco and I set off to follow someone in Budva. Every morning we set out to follow that face that needs to be done and walk around Budva. I tell him (Nikoli) - what needs to be done and he answers me - the Khan needs to be killed'. At the time, I didn't know the name or surname of that Khan... We walk around Budva, we drive, as tourists, and none of the work is realized and there is no opportunity for realization," said Pista.
He told the investigators that they were driving around Budva, from "Tre canna" to the Old Town, and that he then realized that "Nikola Drecun was in trouble".
He said that he felt unsafe and asked Mirković through the crypt to provide him with a gun, which Drecun later gave him - a 7.65 millimeter "flag", as well as 5.000 euros for food and accommodation for him and Ac.
He said that they contacted Žileta via an encrypted phone, and there were also contacts from Detlić, Fabrika and Produkcija.
Only after the arrest, he allegedly found out that they were Vasilije Rafailović, Detlić Petar Lipovina, and that Kašćelan was nicknamed Stari.
Detlić, Mali and 5.000 euros for accommodation
In prison, he learned from the members of the Kavački clan that Mirković drove Kašćelan while he was staying in Novi Sad, but also that "the old man is satisfied with him" because he is silent.
Allegedly, Kašćelan once, while walking, gave him a thumbs up as a sign of greeting, but also because everything was fine.
Explaining the planning of Khan's murder, Pista said that he decided to tell everything after he saw that the Kavacans left him in the lurch, when "Drecun told everything".
Talking about what happened in Budva when he first came to kill Kan, he said that a message came through contact Detlić that "Mali will bring 5.000 euros", after which Drecun brought the money, and after seven days from the house in Obzovica transferred them to a house in Markovići above Budva.
"I applied for an apartment in that house in Markovići on Serbian papers under the name Viktor Kraft. Nikola told us that this Khan drives a Mercedes G-class, a black cube. We are all walking and waiting for the situation to complete the task, that is, to liquidate that Khan in Budva. Nikola told me that I should buy a hat or cap to look like a tourist and some casual clothes. While walking around Budva, he also showed me the hair salon where Khan comes to get his hair cut and shaved, and where he often comes. Nikola told me that I should be very careful and he showed me a location in Budva where the police are often located and you should drive carefully past them. It's strange to me how in all those tours of Budva we can't find that Khan anywhere, so I ask Nikola who that person is. He tells me - 'he was very good, but he became evil, we are looking for him for a long time, but it is difficult to reach him'. And he says to me - 'do you know that you work for people who are involved in a clan, that they shoot and kill, you met a lot of serious people'... Nikola told me - 'there is a war in our country', and that I should be careful. During those tours of ours, while the three of us were in a rented 'Megan', we were stopped by a police patrol in Budva," said Pista.
He said that the policeman asked him for a residence permit, but that he did not have it and that the policeman told him to leave the country, return and report to the TO Budva, which they allegedly did immediately.
A kilogram of cocaine and 50.000 euros for murder
He claims that Drecun told them the next day that Kan would be at the hairdresser's, that they were looking for him, but that he didn't show up, which is why he cursed Mirković in messages, who then offered him to kill Kan, "since Drecun obviously can't".
He said that he was in a dilemma, because he did not know the details, but that he needed the money, so he decided "to take it off".
"Jovan Mirković tells me that I will receive a kilogram of cocaine and 50 euros for the murder," Pista said.
He said that he and Aco were then chasing Kan around Budva, that Detlić ordered him a "Czech zbrojevka" with a silencer for that murder, but that Drecun gave the weapon for cocaine.
"Me and Aco then look for Khan around Budva, but we can't get to him. Aco then tells me that this Khan is not an ordinary man, that he is rich and dangerous and that he feels when he is being followed and chased. When I followed that black jeep, I managed to take a picture of Khan, because he went to a house on Sveti Stefan. I took a video of him parking in reverse, to justify myself, because I could have shot him, but I didn't have a weapon. My chance to shoot was when my little son opened his car door. Since I didn't have a weapon, I couldn't even commit a murder. I wrote to Mirković that all this is leading to nothing. He persuades me to stay in Budva, but I tell him that I am returning to Kosovo," said Pista.
He explained in detail where and when, a year later, they were supposed to kill Slovinić, but also that Kan was a target of the Kavačac clan that year as well.
