Special prosecutor Živko Savović announced that today he will reveal all the details of the "dispute" with his boss Milivoj Katnić, which has been in the public eye for days.
Savović confirmed to "Vijesti" that he will hold a conference for the media, but he did not want to talk about what he would talk about, apart from the current situation.
"Vijesti" learned that he allegedly prepared a lot of evidence about the illegal behavior of Katnić during 2018, but also before and after that.
Savović, however, did not want to confirm it, but neither did he want to deny it.
On February 2, he submitted a criminal complaint to the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office against the head of the SDT and nine other people for failing in the "Coup d'etat" case.
After that, it was announced that the Appellate Court annulled the first-instance verdict against those accused of attempted terrorism on the day of the parliamentary elections.
A few days later, mutual accusations started pouring in between colleagues - special prosecutors. On Wednesday, Savović publicly invited Katnić, special prosecutor Sanja Jovićević and the head of the Special Police Department, Dragan Radonjić, to say whether they are conducting an investigation against him and his family members, telling them that 1948 was a long time ago. Hearings and public calls followed.
A day later, Democrat MPs Boris Bogdanović and Dragan Krapović were interrogated in their capacity as citizens by the Special Police Team, after which they announced at a press conference that they had been invited to an interview "in order to put pressure on them because of the proposed laws on the prosecution of organized crime and corruption and the Law on Amendments to the Law on State Prosecution", which envisages the abolition of SDT.
On Friday, the SDT submitted a request to the Parliament to lift Krapović's immunity due to the alleged organization of resistance in June last year during the political coup in Budva, and then they published the transcripts of their conversations and announced that Savović was under their political influence.
In the conversations, the transcripts of which have been published, Democratic officials arrange sponsorship for Savović's son Miš for a trip to Russia and discuss potential investments in the Bečići settlement in Budva.
In one of the transcripts, from which Katnić declassified, Bogdanović asks Krapović if he can provide the younger Savović with 200 euros, because they have already allocated 200 to him for sponsoring the trip.
SDT announced that Bogdanović at one point said to Krapović: "Can you provide him with something, it would be good if we keep those relations, because we have a lot of information and so on...".
After that, the SDT gave an explanation to the public, which is why it published the transcripts, which was not a very common practice of that institution in the investigative phase of the procedure. They announced that they did this in order to indicate that part of the political influence on that institution was "partially achieved by individuals in the SDT".
It is unclear, however, how despite this Savović was re-elected in 2019 and why Katnić did not react then.
