Beran police arrested Milosav Čukić (30) and Dragutin Golubović (36), who are suspected of having killed a bear yesterday.
As the police said, six people were brought to the official premises in order to shed light on the criminal offense qualified as killing and torturing animals and destroying their habitat.
"After the measures and actions taken, persons M.Č. (30) and DG (36) from Beran are suspected of this criminal offense. A hunting rifle, weapon license, as well as a mobile phone were confiscated from M.Č. In addition, this morning the apartment and other rooms used by M.Č., RR (50), R.Č. (53) and DG were searched. A magazine with 12 pieces of hunting ammunition and 10 pieces of rifle ammunition was found at M.Č. confiscated for expert examination. A search of the premises used by the RR found four hunting rifles, an optical sight, two frames of ammunition and 30 pieces of cartridges, which items were also confiscated for expert examination," the Police Directorate announced.
It is stated that the suspects are M.Č. and DG were brought to the acting prosecutor with a criminal complaint, after which they were detained for up to 72 hours.
