The officers of the Regional Border Police Center "South" in cooperation with the officers of the Maritime Safety Administration found two fishing boats with seven persons that were engaged in commercial fishing in the territorial sea of Montenegro without the permission of the competent ministry. At the same time, as reported by the Police Administration, they illegally crossed the state border of Montenegro.
"In the territorial sea of Montenegro, in the water area near Ada Bojana, the border police, together with the officers of the Maritime Safety Administration, controlled the fishing vessel 'Tara', which sailed under the flag of the Republic of Albania, with four crew members on board. The fishing vessel was also controlled" Adriatik', which was sailing under the flag of the Republic of Albania, on which there were three crew members. The ships were found to be engaged in commercial fishing in the fishing sea of Montenegro using fishing tools and equipment without the permission of the competent ministry," according to the police.
Border police officers, in accordance with the Law on Border Control, issued misdemeanor orders of 100 euros each, in the total amount of 700 euros, due to the illegal crossing of the state border.
"Due to the committed maritime violations, the navigation safety inspector of the Port Authority of Bar imposed fines on the responsible persons in the amount of 250 euros each, a total of 500 euros, and due to the violation of the provisions of the Law on Sea Fisheries and Mariculture, the competent fisheries inspector imposed two fines in the total amount of 3.250 euros," the announcement concludes.
