The Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica is checking whether certain public figures have committed a criminal offense by publishing comments on social networks that can be interpreted as hate speech.
Prosecutor Lepa Medenica confirmed to "Vijesta" that they are determining whether there are violations of the law, among other things, in the posts of DPS vice president Sanja Damjanović, i.e. the posts of the director of the Art School for Music and Ballet "Vasa Pavić", Zoja Đurović...
"The Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, after learning about the publication of disputed comments on social networks, which are mentioned in your question, took actions ex officio to check and determine whether the comments in question contained the elements of a criminal offense within the jurisdiction of this prosecution. , so that after the collected data and the necessary checks, a decision will be made according to the same", according to the answer of the prosecutor Medenica.
Former Minister of Science and holder of the DPS list in the local elections in NIkšić, Sanja Damjanović, "started" a polemic on Facebook by posting a status, in which she states that she is "shocked by the brutal engineering attempt to change the national identity of Montenegro".
"Being homeless, being against one's country, is the greatest audacity and shame of every individual and every generation... The plan to remove us will not succeed. Who are you? We will never allow you to do that," she wrote, on the occasion of the announced change in the decision on the criteria for determining the conditions for acquiring Montenegrin citizenship.
To the question of one of the users of that network - "What should we do", she wrote: "Open the cage to let the animals out".
Damjanović did not answer the questions of "Vijesti" regarding that case.
Đurović stated on the same network that it is time for everyone who found refuge here after the war events of the XNUMXs to move out of Montenegro.
Later, she explained that she does not hate anyone, but that in this way she reacted to the rude insults of one of the users who, as she said, forced her out of her own country, but also insulted her late parents in the most vulgar way.
