Last night, the Šavnica police interrogated and immediately released two men suspected of killing a bear yesterday in the Dragišnica area.
The Police Administration (UP) unofficially told "Vijesta" that SM (27) and BV (49) from Nikšić are charged with the criminal offense of illegal hunting combined with the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials.
"They were stopped in Šavnik, the car they were in was checked and a bear's head and skin, traces of blood, several knives, a knife sharpener were found in the trunk," UP said unofficially.
The President of the Board of Directors of the National Parks, Marina Jočić, said that the supervisors of the Durmitor National Park are looking for the remains of bears in order to determine whether illegal hunting was committed in the territory of the National Park.

SM (27) and BV (49), both from Nišić, were deprived of their liberty due to the criminal offense of illegal hunting combined with the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials. They were brought before the state prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Pljevlja. last night, acting on operational information, they stopped and controlled the vehicle on the Žabljak - Šavnik road. Upon inspection of the vehicle, the police found the head and skin of a bear, several knives, binoculars, meat hooks and a knife sharpener. The criminal investigation points to the suspicion that these two people shot a bear in the town of Dragišnica", according to the official statement of the Police Administration.
