About 60 members of the Kavac clan were arrested in an operation by the Slovenian police on suspicion of smuggling about 800 kilograms of cocaine, large quantities of other drugs and weapons.
The Slovenian newspaper "Večer" announced that most of those arrested after the search of 23 houses in the area of Ljubljana, Kranj, Maribor and Koper, will defend themselves at liberty.
According to the information of "Vijesti", that group was led by Filip Vrzić, whom the Slovenian police has linked to the top of the Kavački clan.
Allegedly, he is a close associate of Milan Vujotić from Podgorica, who is also wanted by the Montenegrin police.
Six people arrested in the action of the Slovenian police, carried out with the help of several foreign services, were ordered into custody.
Klemen Kadivec, who was arrested earlier in Koper on suspicion of planning and organizing the kidnapping of Žarko Tešanović and the murder of Danijel Božić with Bojan Stanojević and Dragan Čikojević, allegedly belongs to that criminal group.
As of yesterday, the Slovenian police did not respond to "Vijesti"'s questions about that action.
