The member of the National Assembly of the Bosnia and Herzegovina entity of Republika Srpska (RS), Nebojša Vukanović, gave a statement to the Cetinje police today after, as he claims, he was physically attacked by a group of about ten young men.
Vukanović was recording a video for his YouTube channel in the capital, and he said that he did not do anything to provoke anyone.
"Some guys recognized me when I was walking back to the car, somewhere on Studentski trg, they said - here's that Serb, where is Stanivuković, Dodik... Ten guys approached me, some slapped, some punched, some kicked. .. but here, I stayed on my feet, it wasn't that terrible, I understand the situation," said Vukanović.
He said that a couple of police officers who were nearby reacted, and that the attackers took his phones.
"They saw that I didn't record anyone, there were no recordings, and then - what are you doing here from Trebinje, a guy from Cetinje, what are you doing here from Trebinje, Serbs... Very ugly, I have to admit that I am disappointed by the unnecessary tension" .
Vukanović also claims that, while they were allegedly hitting him, they also told him "here, you see there are Montenegrins", referring to the statement of the mayor of Banjaluka, Draško Stanivuković, who recently denied the existence of the Montenegrin nation.
