The Budva police arrested construction businessman Boris Ćipranić, who is charged with tax evasion.

"After the investigative procedure conducted in cooperation with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) Kotor, B. Ć. was arrested yesterday on reasonable suspicion of having committed the extended criminal offense of tax and contribution evasion, from Article 264 paragraph 4 in connection with paragraph 1, and in connection with Article 49 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro", "Vijesti" was told.
Namely, as a taxpayer, Ćipranić, as it was said, "carried out the sale of residential units, concluded contracts and pre-contracts for the sale of real estate in a condo hotel in Rafailovići, collected partial or full amounts for the sold real estate, collected advances, and incurred obligations for calculating taxes on added value (VAT) was not recorded in the tax returns".
"In this way, Ćipranić showed a smaller turnover of goods in his tax returns compared to the one that was actually realized, so he obtained for himself an illegal property benefit in the total amount of 668.636,37 euros, and damaged the budget of Montenegro in the same amount." it was confirmed by "News" in CB Budva.
