With the arrest of the former head of the National Security Agency (ANB) Dejan Peruničić, investigators will try to find out when the chief special prosecutor Milivoje Katnić was illegally wiretapped, who had access to the recorded material, and whether that case is connected to the suicide of a long-time agent the secret service of Luka Bulatović.
Katnić told journalists yesterday that the investigation will determine where the materials recorded by the listening device that was found in his office ended up.
"It is determined to whom they were forwarded. There is a well-founded suspicion that this was done by the National Security Agency and that they used those materials, and we still don't know who else was the user or consumer of those materials. The SDT is conducting an investigation in this direction," said Katnić.
He added that the SDT was investigating after the lifeless body of Bulatović was found.
"It was carried out in accordance with all regulations, that material is being analyzed and certain actions are still being taken. In the end, it will be determined whether that suicide, that is, that event, has anything to do with the case of wiretapping," said Katnić.
Commenting on the statement of the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zoran Miljanić, that he and the SDT should answer the question of whose lives Bulatović could have saved, Katnić said that the MUP official does not respect interdepartmental cooperation, and that he does not know that the SDT can provide information only in accordance with the law.
"He said that I should inform the citizens about all this... It could be a criminal offense to incite the disclosure of an official secret," he said.
Regarding the video recordings of Bulatović's farewell messages, he said that it is possible that the lives of those who lost them or those who are at risk could have been saved: "Me and my associates, Mr. Dragan Radonjić and his special police department and Enis Baković and members of his service ...We have been able to determine that so far," he said, without specifying what it was about.
He said that the current setup of the ANB helped them in that investigation, especially the head of the secret service, Dejan Vukšić.
He did not answer how many messages were left by the long-time secret agent Bulatović, whose lifeless body was found a few days ago in an apartment in the Podgorica neighborhood of Momišići.
He pointed out that the inspectors found all the messages, including those that Bulatović previously deleted from the computer.
Special Prosecutor Miroslav Turković said that the wiretapping investigation began after they received information that there were listening devices in Katnić's office.
"After we received that information, together with the police officers... we carried out an investigation, found this technical means... We determined the external road that leads from the operational-technical means to the place for receiving the signal," said Turković.
He said that in that investigation, Peruničić was arrested yesterday, because facts were established during the investigation that indicate a well-founded suspicion that he committed a criminal offense - abuse of official position.
Katnić said that they are not determining who lifted the ban on Belgrade criminals Veljko Belivuk and Marko Miljković, but whether one of the officials committed a crime in that case.
He also said that the police officers arrested in that investigation - Aleksandar Bošković and Saša Đurović - were harmed, emphasizing that he had the pleasure of working with them and that they also acted in cases formed by organized criminal groups.
Lopičić equipped the apartment for growing "grass"?
Bojan Lopičić (29) from Podgorica is suspected of being part of a criminal group that, according to the SDT, was formed by Emil Tuzović and Stefan Đukić.
This was announced by special prosecutor Miroslav Turković, who yesterday also showed photographs of the room where Lopičić grew marijuana to journalists.
He pointed out that during the search of the apartment in Bar, which was used by Lopičić, a fugitive member of that criminal group was found and arrested - Dušan Dudić (28) from Kotor.
Turković said that Lopičić is suspected of having accepted Đukić's orders and instructions to modify the residential building to make it suitable for growing marijuana:
"In order to sell it on behalf of a criminal organization, in such a way that they will hire experts and equip the designated facility with the necessary electrical installations and lamps to create a suitable temperature for the cultivation of marijuana and its sale, to procure the necessary material and chemical agents for the smooth cultivation of marijuana, to supervise and carries out cultivation and production, to find new members of the criminal organization for the purpose of growing this narcotic drug, as well as to perform other actions assigned to him by the organizers of the criminal organization".
Lopičić was arrested a few days ago, and the police then announced that, in addition to him and Dudić, a criminal complaint was filed against Stefan Đukić, born Mandić (31) and Emil Tuzović (31), who are in custody in Ukraine, and Baranin's Nino Korać ( 30) who is in the Investigation Prison in Spuž.
It was explained that they are all members of the Skaljar-Bar group.
"There is always a suspicion that a murder has been committed"...
Explaining why the SDT is leading the investigation of Bulatović's suicide, he said that it is not yet known whether he committed suicide, but that the facts now point to it.
"There is always a suspicion that a murder has been committed, so the police went to the field and found indicators that SDT could get involved," said Katnić.
He said that Bulatović left a message that they had messages for him in the computer and to inform Dragan Radonjić about it.
"I assumed that it would be about something within our jurisdiction and we will see it through to the end," said Katnić.
He added that Bulatović was one of the greatest professionals and patriots he met.
