Blažo Đukanović was heard in the SDT: Answered questions about the "Pandora paper"

Blažo Đukanović, the son of the President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović, was questioned this morning in the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) as a citizen, it was confirmed by "Vijesta".

He was answering the prosecutors' questions regarding the "Pandora Papers" case, and the chief special prosecutor Milivoje Katnić said yesterday that Blažo Đukanović will be questioned.

On the other hand, Milo Đukanović will make a written statement about the case.

"A written statement is possible. It is given to high-ranking officials, not so that they would be privileged or separated from others, but to avoid the procedure of controlling the premises. It is seen that no one has poisoned the water, that there is no explosive device somewhere, and that takes our days. "That's why we write the questions that would be asked to him when he comes and send them to him for a statement. But if he were invited to come, he would certainly have to come," said Katnić yesterday.

The "Pandora Papers" state that in 2012, Milo and Blažo Đukanović entered into secret contracts on the management of their assets, hiding behind a complicated network of related companies from Great Britain, Switzerland, the British Virgin Islands, Panama and Gibraltar, it was announced on October 3 on on the website of the Network for the Affirmation of the Non-Governmental Sector (MANS).

According to these allegations, the son of the President of Montenegro used that structure to form two hidden companies with subsidiary companies in London and Montenegro.

The MANS Research Center came to these data through a global investigation into offshore business called "Pandora Papers" led by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) with partners from 117 countries. So far, the largest database of leaked data contains almost 12 million documents from 14 offshore agencies. One of them is ALCOGAL, a leading law firm in Panama with offices in all well-known offshore destinations, including the British Virgin Islands, through which the Djukanovic family's business is conducted.
