Milošević: We are declaring war on the construction mafia

State Secretary in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rade Milošević, said that in the coming days the state apparatus will be activated to protect natural resources and that yesterday's action, aimed at preventing illegal exploitation of gravel, is only the first phase of action.

"Enough of the looting of state resources. We will show the power of the state and that no one is stronger than it, not even the big construction giants," announced Milošević and ordered to declare war on the construction mafia.

Milošević heads the Interdepartmental Team formed by the Government, which deals with cases of illegal exploitation of gravel.

Yesterday, in a major operation against the illegal exploitation of gravel from Morača and Cijevna, the police detained a dozen people. The owner of the company "Cijevna Comerc" Danilo Petrović, who was allegedly found at the place where his workers were exploiting gravel, was arrested.

On the same occasion, the owner of the company Per Mar Predrag Maraš, as well as individuals Jovica Klikovac and Milivoje Mugoša, were interrogated and detained by the police...

Inspectors, the News reported, are also looking for Andreja Šuškavčević Novović, director of the company Montenegro Petrol.

According to unofficial information from Vijesti, they will be brought to the Basic State Prosecutor's Office for questioning today.

"This is only the first phase of our activities. We will check every company throughout Montenegro. We will sanction any attempt at illegal exploitation", said Milošević.

He said that there is a big cause for concern for companies that worked outside the law, because even in such difficult conditions, some prosecutor's offices are ready to work in accordance with the law.

"I think it's time for the state to show its power and strength. If we cannot solve the issue of looting of state property by the construction mafia, then we should resign," Milošević said.
