The Bosniak party announced that since August 30, 2020, the Muslims of Pljevlja "have been living in constant fear of individuals who disrupt harmony, telling Muslims that they are not welcome in Pljevlja".
The Bosniak Party reacted after the incident in Pljevlje, where the police arrested Zorislav Leković (52) on suspicion of attacking Sabina Talović, an activist of the Safe Women's House, and Belis Pojatić, the executive director of the "Vitomir Srbljanović" Art Gallery.
"The latest incident in Pljevlja, in which Pljevlja Zorislav Leković provoked passers-by in front of the mosque, carrying a Chetnik flag, and then attacked two members of the Bosniak nationality, is a continuation of the torture suffered by Pljevlja Muslims in the last year. On the day when the Day of the Municipality of Pljevlja is celebrated , when we all remember the anti-fascist struggle and when we thought that the fascist and Chetnik movements were defeated forever, unfortunately, something is happening that does not contribute to the multi-ethical nature of Pljevlja and Montenegro," the statement of the Bosniak Party states.
They point out that today's incident and attack on Pojatić and Talović is "another attempt to demonstrate the power of the majority over the minority".
"We will not agree to that. We will not allow fascists, members of Chetnik movements and haters of the Bosniak people to threaten anyone, endanger them or declare us undesirable. We call on the Minister of Internal Affairs Sergej Sekulović and the Director of Police Zoran Brđanin to react as quickly as possible, and to in accordance with their powers, take all possible actions, so that this case gets a complete epilogue. The Bosniak party will inform international organizations and embassies about the situation in Pljevlja and the facts that Muslims in this city face every day," the Bosniak party said in a statement.

CŽL: State authorities to provide full security protection to Talović and her family
The Montenegrin Women's Lobby (CŽL) condemned the attack on their activist Talović.
"The attack and threats directed at fellow activist Sabina Talović is an attack on her integrity and life, endangering her and her family's basic human rights, peace and security, freedom of movement. The attack on activist Sabina Talović is an attack on all activists and peacekeepers who resist and fights against all forms of violence, hate speech, negation of diversity and emerging forms of fascism," the CŽL press release states.
They require the state authorities to provide full security protection to Talović and her family.
"It is the last alarm for state authorities to react urgently and bring the perpetrator to justice and impose the harshest sanctions," the announcement states.
