The three poachers who, as is suspected, killed a deer in the "Biogradska gora" National Park on November 14, have not yet been prosecuted, although the head of the protection service found them on the spot.
They escaped after the intervention of the head of the gamekeeper, and the police, although they heard them, are waiting for the results of the DNA examination.
This follows from the response of the Police Administration sent to "Vijesti".
From that institution, they point out that they have interviewed persons for whom there are indications that they could be linked to the murder of the deer and add that after expert examination of the recovered traces, objects and DNA findings, in cooperation with the competent prosecutor's office, they will take further measures and actions to shed light on that event. .
After shooting a protected species of game, the poachers left a hunting rifle and vest in the rainforest.
The Police Administration did not answer the question of whether it is true that they are hiding the son of a UP officer who allegedly participated in that crime.
Jelena Kljajević, the director of JP National Parks of Montenegro, indirectly accused them of this two days ago:
"We don't want to believe that the police want to protect the son of one of their officers who participated in that crime, which is being talked about out loud in Kolašin and Berane," she said.
UP "Vijesta" said that on November 14, the head of the protection service of NP "Biogradska gora" informed them that three unknown persons were found in the town of Jelenak who had shot a deer:
"And who, after the intervention of the head of the protection service, moved away from the scene. The police came to the scene, an investigation was carried out, and a hunting rifle was found. Objects and traces found at the scene were excluded and sent for expert examination".
They add that they collected information from that supervisor, several citizens and the suspicious trio:
"In order to establish the factual situation and shed light on the event," said the UP.
They did not answer the question whose rifle was found in the National Park "Biogradska gora", nor the question posed by Kljajević - why and until when there will be protected poachers who commit atrocities in national parks.
