Two people arrested in Podgorica: One hit a policeman in the head, the other attacked a policeman with a sharp object?

Two people were arrested last night in Podgorica for attacking police officers, the Police Directorate announced today.

The announcement states that the police in the Konik settlement of Podgorica intended to control the "Golf" vehicle, however, the vehicle did not stop at the signal of the policemen, but continued moving.

"Police officers caught up with him and stopped him, and ordered the persons to get out of the vehicle, which order one of the two persons disobeyed, and coercive means were used. On that occasion, MG (24) offered active resistance and hit the police officer in the area of ​​the head," the announcement states.

The Police Administration said that the two persons were brought to the Podgorica Security Center, while the policeman was taken to medical attention, where he was diagnosed with severe injuries in the form of a cheek bone fracture.

"The competent prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was informed, by order of which MG was deprived of liberty on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of assaulting an official in the performance of his official duties," the statement reads.

The Police Directorate said that in addition, the Podgorica police were sent yesterday to Aleksandra Puškina street, also in the Konik settlement, where they provided assistance to emergency medical workers.

"On this occasion, DE attacked a police officer with a sharp object and he suffered injuries, and DE was overpowered with the use of coercive means and was deprived of his liberty. The prosecutor was informed and ordered that a criminal report be filed against DE on suspicion of having committed a criminal offense attack on an official in the performance of his official duties," the statement concludes.
