The higher court in Podgorica confirmed the indictment against Budimir Krstović (66) and his twenty-seven-year-old daughter Marina, for smuggling more than a ton of cocaine. This was confirmed by "Vijesti" from that court.
On December 23 last year, the higher state prosecutor's office in Podgorica filed an indictment against the defendants Krstović.
"Due to the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and placing on the market of narcotic drugs - cocaine in the amount of 1.206,253 kilograms, the indictment was submitted to the High Court in Podgorica for the purpose of deciding on it," the Prosecutor's Office announced at the time.
Because of the record seizure of drugs, the police arrested Marina Krstović at the end of October 26, and the next morning her father Budimir was also handcuffed.
The Krstovićs were arrested in an operation codenamed "187" in which the VDT, the Police Directorate, the Revenue and Customs Directorate and the High Court in Podgorica participated.
From the moment of their arrest, they deny their guilt.
