I expect that now we can work at full capacity, that is a special and personal pleasure for me, but we'll talk about that on Tuesday when you come to the court. I congratulate you all and I want you to continue working according to the law, because that's the only way we can work and progress," said Acting President of the Supreme Court Vesna Vučković at the swearing-in ceremony in the premises of the Court advice.
The president of the Judicial Council, Vesna Simović Zvicer, congratulated the judges on their advancement in the judiciary, stressing that she expects them to be independent in their work.
"I want you to be independent in your future work, because as you know independence is a condition for the rule of law and that you do not perceive it as a personal privilege but as an obligation to serve only the Constitution, the law and other regulations and in the interest of those who come and seek justice from you" , said the president of the SS, a body that had sessions almost every day in order to finish the procedures of numerous elections for vacant positions in the court system as soon as possible.
As many as 11 newly elected judges of the Supreme Court took their oaths - Ranko Vukić, Tatjana Ljujić, Zoran Šćepanović, Jelena Čabarkapa, Milenka Žižić, Nevenka Popović, Seka Piletić, Marijana Pavićević, Katarina Đurđić, Vojin Lazović and Snežana Vukčević.
Six newly elected judges of the Court of Appeal, Ana Vuković, Predrag Tabaš, Vesna Moštrokol, Evica Durutović, Danijela Vukčević and Dijana Radulović, took their oaths at the ceremony in the premises of the Judicial Council.
The President of the Court for Misdemeanors in Budva, Marko Đukanović, also took the oath.
