The prosecutor from Kotor, Srđa Jovanović, was arrested today, by order of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT).
He was arrested on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of abuse of office.
He was brought to the institution run by Vladimir Novović for questioning around 15:XNUMX p.m.
In the official announcement of the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office (VDT) and the SDT, it is stated that acting special prosecutor Miloš Šoškić, after the hearing, made a decision to detain Jovanović for up to 72 hours.
Members of the Special Police Department handcuffed him.
"According to the order of the Acting Supreme State Prosecutor Maja Jovanović, a Commission was formed at the same time, which is in charge of carrying out the control of all cases that were in charge of the State Prosecutor of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor. The State Prosecutor of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor is suspected of abusing his official position and committing a criminal offense under Article 416 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro, which states that an official who, by unlawfully using his official position or authority, exceeds m the limits of his official authority, or by not performing his official duty, obtains a benefit for himself or another, causes damage to another, or severely violates the rights of another," states the joint statement of VDT and SDT.
