The police confiscated 470 kilograms of cut tobacco and filed criminal charges against two people.
As announced by the Police Administration, acting on operational information, the border police in Ulcinj visited the area around Lake Šaski near the state border with Albania and controlled a cargo vehicle with Podgorica license plates driven by DD (38) from Ulcinj.
"An examination of the trunk of the vehicle found 31 packages with about 470 kilograms of cut tobacco. The prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Ulcinj was identified and qualified for the criminal offense charged by the DD - illegal trade, and a criminal complaint was filed against him," it is stated. in the announcement of the Police Administration.
It is added that on April 15, the border police on the road Tuzi - Mataguži controlled a passenger vehicle in which there were two persons.
"After further inspection of the vehicle, the police officers found a PVC bag in the trunk containing 24 PVC packages of cut tobacco with a total weight of 12 kilograms. The passenger in the controlled vehicle, I.Dž. (51) from the Republic of Albania, is charged with the criminal offense of illegal trade and he was deprived of his liberty," the statement said.
