About a hundred officers of the Police Directorate gathered in front of the office of the Trade Union and the security institution, demanding that Mladen Šuškavčević resign.
One of them, Igor Rmandić, told his colleagues that there are many colleagues who would be with them today, but are prevented by work obligations.
The police officers presented their demands and objections to the Union, which for years turned a blind eye to everything that happened to them - reduction of wages, purchase of equipment from personal funds, illegality during the distribution of apartments....
Milorad Begić said that their request is for Suškavčević to resign immediately, and he also asked for answers to questions about how the apartments were shared, why money is allocated to help certain colleagues, if there is money in the Union's coffers.
Željko Pejović, a member of the Main Board of the Trade Union, said that a session will be held on May 16, adding that his relationship with Šuškavčević was at a minimum.
He also told his colleagues that the union has no money in its coffers, but plans to take on debt.
He is also in the group that submitted a request for the dismissal of Suškavčević.
Begić said that they are advocating for an honest union.
Police officer Aleksandra Jovanović said that she is in Zagorič today to support her colleagues, because she noticed that most of them are afraid to talk publicly about the problems they have.
"They have no reason to be afraid, especially not elders who don't have well-deserved degrees," she said.
She pointed out that in the last few days, 300 colleagues contacted her, half of whom offered to defend her if necessary.
She also pointed out that some colleagues "pulled" her in conversations in the past few days and appealed to those present to be careful with whom they communicate, because among them there are those who are trying to "undermine" the advocacy for changes in the Trade Union.
"We all know what they did - and they did nothing but take our money," she said.
Pejović said that he sees that some look at him suspiciously, because he is a member of the GO, but that there is no need for that, because since 2018 they have formed the group "Police Officers" in which they report the irregularities of the Trade Union.
He also said that his trade union organization was once disbanded because of this action.
