The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica submitted an indictment to the competent Basic Court in Podgorica against the accused police officer of the Podgorica Security Center, Dalibor Ljekočević.
The indictment was filed on May 27, 2020, due to the criminal offense of extorting testimony, to the detriment of Benjamin Mugoša.
Mugoša was one of the suspects in two bombings. Only a day after the investigators stated that they had shed light on the case, information was published that at the time of the criminal acts - he was in prison.
Soon after, he was cleared of all suspicions.
HRA: We expect progress in the case of Grujičić as well
"After two years since the brutal abuse of Marko Boljević, Benjamin Mugoša and Jovan Grujičić, who were forced to testify in CB Podgorica, we welcome the filing of the first indictments against the police officers in the first two cases. We expect progress in the case of Grujičić as well," stated the Action for Human Rights (HRA) on Twitter.
