A citizen of Kazakhstan sustained serious injuries and her daughter suffered minor injuries in a traffic accident that occurred shortly before 12 noon on the Adriatic highway in Lepetani near Tivat.
For reasons not yet determined, in the immediate vicinity of the entrance to the ferry pier in Lepetani, where there are three traffic lanes, a "mini" convertible with Tivat license plates and an "Audi" with Swiss license plates collided head-on.
Injured tourists from Kazakhstan were in a "mini" that was moving from the direction of Tivat towards Lepetani, while in an "audi" that was coming from the opposite direction, that is, from the direction of the ferry port towards Tivat, there were Swiss citizens of Albanian origin.
The passengers in the "audi" were uninjured, while the seriously injured citizen of Kazakhstan was transferred to the Kotor General Hospital.
The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor was informed about the accident, which is conducting an investigation together with members of the Tivat police.
Tivat firefighters are also on the scene, regulating traffic, because due to the investigation, it is currently being carried out alternately in one lane.
