Arrested doctor and health worker: Did they issue a fake sick leave to a police officer who is suspected of attempted murder?

Doctor Lidija Ognjenović and health worker Ranko Mijušković were arrested on suspicion of issuing a false certificate of temporary disability to police officer Nemanja Koprivica, who was arrested for the attempted murder of Željko Radulović.

Koprivica wounded Radulović on July 13, ten minutes after midnight, on Šak Petrović Square in Nikšić.

The police established that on the first working day after the shooting, Ognjenović received a false sick leave from the doctor.

The doctor is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of falsifying a document, and of inciting Mijušković to do so.

Koprivica was questioned this morning at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office, and after the hearing, he was detained for up to 72 hours.

"It is suspected that LO, as an official person - a doctor, on July 18, while she was at her workplace in the Health Center in Nikšić, at the verbal request of a colleague RM employed at the Nikšić General Hospital, prepared, certified and issued official documents with untrue content , that is, she opened a sick leave, issued remittances, instructions and a list of therapy in the name of one person, and all according to the verbal instructions of RM, and without physical documentation and an examination of the mentioned person", the police administration announced.

On the order of the prosecutor, Ognjenović and Mijušković were arrested and taken into custody with a criminal report to the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić.
